Karri Flatla, WAHMKarri Flatla has been a work at home mom for nearly 5 years. She started snap! virtual associates inc., a web marketing and copywriting firm, in 2005 so she could not only stay at home with her children but to avoid re-entering a workforce that squashed her creativity and smothered a deep need for independence.

Today, Karri is a mensch to her WAHM cohorts as well as other small business entrepreneurs around the web, offering up advice and encouragement across various media and organizations, including:

As a work at home mom and self-proclaimed alpha female, Karri has experienced the spectrum of trials and tribulations that come with trying to balance career and family. Upon realizing it was pointless and defeating to aim for the work-life balance myth, Karri decided to pioneer a different path.

AlphaWAHM.com was born of the cries of Generation X moms everywhere who are passionate about their entrepreneurial dreams as they are about nurturing their families. Karri wanted to empower these women to aim high in all aspects of their lives without feeling guilty and without risking complete burnout from trying to be all things to a society that imposes mythical ideals on the moms of Gen X.
